This Code of Conduct is the result of ongoing work carried out by the Sustainable Shipping Initiative’s (SSI) Delivering on seafarers’ rights working group, in partnership with the Institute for Human Rights and Business (IHRB) and in collaboration with the Rafto Foundation for Human Rights. It brings together shipowners, ship operators, charterers and cargo owners to drive positive change in the industry, through individual and collective action and increased
transparency to deliver on seafarers’ rights.
